Britain is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world, with only 7% of native woodlands considered to be in 'good ecological condition' by the Woodland Trust. Forests, and by extension timber sit at the heart of reversing this trend, with Marks' - who is certified by Grown in Britain - being passionate about the sustainable use of homegrown timber from mixed, healthy woodlands. Once sourced this wood is used to produce highly refined, contemporary pieces, with particular attention being given to excellent in craftsmanship, functionality and the use of time-honoured construction methods.
