Coppiced Hazel

Coppicing is an ancient form of woodland management which involves cutting trees back to their root bases every 7-10 years. This cycle allows light to flood the forest floor, thereby creating richly diverse habitats.

In an effort to revive the practise, The Wattle Collection introduces it to a new context of domestic furniture. Showcasing the beautiful array of tones and textures the material holds within a series of refined and tactile pieces.

All material has been sourced from family run forests in the English counties of Bedfordshire and Sussex. Learn more about the research behind the collection here
