Weekend Chair-Making Course
Immerse yourself in traditional woodworking techniques and craft your very own stick-chair in this weekend long course!
Starting with an ash log, you’ll get to grips with a range of engaging, hand-tool techniques, from splitting and draw-knifing, to hand planing, drilling and assembling. Creating your own, beautifully refined, contemporary take on the classic stick-chair, as well as leaving with the skills and confidence to make your own designs at home.
Suitable for any level of experience, all materials are included.
The course has a maximum of eight participants and you will be expertly guided through each step by tutors Jacob and Cameron, ensuring you are supported whilst also creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
Time: 10am - 5.30pm*
Date: 23rd & 24th May, 2026.
Location: Unit 13, Platts Eyot, Hampton, TW12 2HF. (The workshop can be easily accessed from Hampton train station, which has direct trains to London Waterloo and Lower Sunbury Road bus station. We also have on-site parking.)
*Please note, whilst snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day, lunch is not included.
